National Dance day at Lincoln Center, NY
Saturday July 25 was National Dance day. Lincoln Center Out of Doors organized different events to celebrate that day. That mouvement started back in 2010 as a respons to what was going on in America. After Michele Obama launched her campaign to fight against obesity, she invited everybody from all ages, shapes and sizes to get up and enjoy life by staying active and eat well.
People from every where in New York came to celebrate. Hosted by Adam Michael Shankman who is an American film director, producer, dancer, actor, and choreographer. He has been a judge on the television program "So You Think You Can Dance" for about 8 Seasons. He began his professional career in musical theater, and was a dancer in music videos for Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson. Shankman has choreographed numerous films as well as one of the Spice Girls' tours. He has directed several feature-length films, including A Walk to Remember, Bringing Down the House, and the 2007 remake of Hairspray. He also produced all the Step Up movies.
