AFROJAM MUSIC DIVERSITY New York is one of the most diverse cities and the center of entertainment in the world. AfroJam is a true reflection of that and more. It has been said that music is originated in Africa. Music is an universal language. AfroJam features showcases by local and national artists from comedians, poets, singers and beyond. In this year afrojam music conference line ups; Eli from Nigeria, British Dependency, Awa Sangho from Mali, Wesli from Canada/ Haiti, Brown Rice Family, Nkumikataley.


British Dependency gave a great show with Jayah a female bass player who played with heart and soul. The audience was singing along and enyoying the show singing " I am here for you even if you don't care..."

Brown Rice Family was next, the band was able to make the audience feels like home, the musicians was jamming in many languages, everybody felt like home: Haitian, Jamaican, African, American became one big family.

Awa Sangho, they call her " The Golden Voice"

Wesli and his band started with a song from Boukman Eksperiyans kept the audience entertained the whole time.
