How does color affect your mood and behavior?
There is a variety of color available. Depending on the color you wear, it can affect your mood, your perception and behavior.
RED
If you are a woman and going out on a date, wear Red, because red is the color of passion. In certain religion, red means victory, for some other blood and anger. If you are in Inspection and manufacturing industry red is the symbol of reject. Researchers discovered that the color red causes people to react with greater speed and force, something that might prove useful during athletic activities. Red is also the color of ambition.
BLUE
If you are a man going out on a date it will be best if you wear blue, because blue is sign of calm and peace
Blue is the color of honesty. In 1999, researchers at Creighton University found that colors significantly influence employees’ emotions and efficiency. Workers in blue offices felt the most centered, calm and hopeful towards their work. Since blue can lower heart rates.
WHITE
In many countries and religions, white represent purity and innocence, in many Eastern countries. It is the color of perfection and completion
ORANGE
Orange is the color of social communication and optimism. Wearing orange is sign of enthusiasm. Research has found that orange increases oxygen supply to the brain, produces an energizing effect, and stimulates brain activity.
GREEN
Green is the color of growth and balance, the color green is restful for your eyes, it reduces anxiety and is associated with money.
YELLOW
In the color psychology, yellow is the color of the mind and the intellect. It is optimistic and cheerful. However it can also suggest impatience, criticism and cowardice.
PURPLE
Purple is the color of the imagination. It can be creative and individual or immature and impractical.
PINK
The color pink is unconditional love and nurturing. People wear pink to say that they are in love, in many countries on valentine day, man and woman wear pink to celebrate their passion and love for one another.
BROWN
The color brown is a friendly yet serious, down-to-earth color that relates to security, protection, comfort and material wealth.
GOLD
Gold is the color of success, achievement and triumph. Associated with abundance and prosperity, luxury and quality, prestige and sophistication, value and elegance, the color psychology of gold implies affluence, material wealth and extravagance.
BLACK
Black is the color of the hidden, the secretive and the unknown, creating an air of mystery. It keeps things bottled up inside, hidden from the world. In certain countries black is seen as a symbol of mourning, in Haiti for example, people wear black at the death of a family members or friends. Black is also seen as aggressive. Researchers examined statistics from more than 52,000 National Hockey League games and found that teams were penalized more for aggression while wearing black jerseys. (Hockey teams have two color jerseys and switch for home and away games). Interestingly, the NHL in 2003 changed it’s jersey policy so that home teams had to wear white. The authors of the study compared the sets of data and found that the same teams were assessed significantly more penalties for aggression when they wore the black jerseys than when they wore white. Some people wear black to hide their weight, wearing black make them look thinner than they really are.
