Si vous avez l'intention de faire un petit tour en Haïti, nous vous invitons à aller à la Rue Capois et Bois Verna situées dans la ville de Port-au-Prince, où les marchands et les cordonniers se trouvent. Ils fabriquent, à la main, une variété de sandales de toutes formes et couleurs. Hommes, Femmes et enfants ont le choix, faites de matériels en cuir, les sandales appuyées contre les murs de la rue, attirent l'attention des passants.
Malgrés l'absorption des produits "Pèpè ou produits deuxième main ( second hand product)" du marché, les cordonniers ne cessent de produire et vendre à des prix compétitifs. Achetez les produits locaux c'est encourager la production nationale et promouvoir l'art Haïtien.
If you are planning a trip to Haiti, we invite you to go to Rue Capois and Bois Verna in the city of Port-au-Prince, where the merchants and shoemakers are located. They produce a variety of hand made sandals of all shapes and colors. Men, women and children have the choice, made of leather, those sandals leaning against the walls of the streets, catch everybody's attention. Despite of the fact that second hand products are taking over the market, Haitian shoemakers never stop producing and selling at the best price, based on the quality and durability of their product. Buying local products is encouraging the economy and promoting Haitian art and culture.
